Wanting children here in the U.S. and around the world to reach their full potential is why we educators. Over the past eight weeks I have learned a lot regarding funding, equity, and quality as it relates to the field of Early Childhood Education. Save the Children is a resource that I came across through my studies, and have chosen to explore. Save the Children gives perspectives on challenges here in our own backyard and internationally that children face. Together we as educators must continue to unite and advocate for the care and education children receive, because if we don't the consequences could be devastating.

The devastating consequences include the following:

1) not overcoming poverty

2) attacks on education will continue to rise

3) children will still be left behind

Our journey doesn't end at the completion of this program; it is just beginning and my goal is to continue to advocate for children everywhere so they do not miss out on receiving quality education.
