Visit https://www.savethechildrenactionnetwork.org/what-we-do/our-issues/early-childhood-education/ and you too can tell congress!!

Below is the pre-written email that is sent to congress...take a look!
"I’m deeply concerned about the lack of affordable, high-quality child care in our country. Right now, more than half of eligible families are not able to access the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) because of a lack of funding. CCDBG enables low- and middle-income families to access high-quality, affordable child care, enabling moms and dads to work.
Research shows the vital importance of the early years of children’s lives. Ensuring kids have a safe, nurturing place to go while their parents work not only contributes to better life outcomes for those children, but also ensures that their parents are able to work.
Congress approved a large increase in CCDBG funding over the last two fiscal years. States have used those new resources well, clearing wait lists, improving quality and increasing teacher pay. But too many families are still struggling to afford care.
That’s why I’m urging you to please support robust funding for CCDBG in Fiscal Year 2020 appropriations."
Thank you.
